Summer is almost over, and soon enough, we’ll be preparing for the fall season. This year has been unlike any other summer. We’ve missed out on much as a result of the pandemic – canceled vacations, restrictions on activities, and not to mention many graduations and weddings we didn’t get to attend! So how does saying goodbye to summer end on a positive note? We make it happen!
We’ve gotten so caught up with fears, quarantines, and negativity, that we sometimes forget to enjoy life. If you haven’t taken the opportunity to enjoy the summer, at least do one or more of these things before summer’s end. Of course, safety is always imperative. Anywhere I go, I practice social distancing and other safety precautions and advise you to do the same. Saying goodbye to summer should be memorable. So if you don’t have any special memories as this summer fades away, there’s still time to make some, and here are things you should do
Do It Now. Sometimes Later Becomes Never

Have One Last Hoorah With Friends
We’ve been lectured to, warned, sometimes threatened about group gatherings due to COVID-19. With large crowds being forbidden, so much for a summer party! But friends are essential, and if you spent the summer making promises to get together when this pandemic “blows over,” now is the time to meet up with your best friends. Do it safely, however! Have an outdoor dining date at your local restaurant. Or spread out in your back yard for one last barbecue. Make sure to whip up a couple of pitchers of Agua de Valencia while you’re at it!
Get In Touch With Nature
One of the best things about summer is enjoying nature. Before saying goodbye to summer, go for a hike, take a long walk, or ride your bike. I’m not talking about your regular route. Select a hiking or biking trail you’ve never done. Explore a different path, where you’ll see new surroundings, and appreciate the freshness of it all. While you’re there, stop and take a moment to breathe it all in. There is so much in nature we ignore. When the season changes, we’ll probably be too cold to want to enjoy such beautiful scenery!
Enjoy A Staycation!
Take a trip somewhere close to home. Visit that famous landmark you’ve always wanted to go to, or take a tour of your favorite museum. Want to explore more? Viator offers great deals for tours. Take a Nashville Tour on a golf cart, or for something more adventurous, go on an Extreme RZR tour from Las Vegas. Worried about large crowds? There are plenty of things to do. Just search with “avoid large crowds” in the search box and you can come up with plenty of suggestions. And don’t forget Viator’s 24-hour cancellation policy. Don’t let summer pass you by!
Try Something New
Have you ever had one of those “I’ve always wanted to do that” moments? Summertime is the season for that, and if you’ve put off doing your new thing, now is the time to try that new experience before saying goodbye to summer. You don’t have to do anything extreme. Try golfing, kayaking, or any new hobby. Just go out and try your new adventure! I’m sure it will be a proud moment for you and you’ll have something to brag about during Thanksgiving dinner!
Enjoy A Sunset
Saying goodbye to summer isn’t official without watching a beautiful sunset one last time. After all, sunsets are one of the most beautiful experiences of nature. My favorite place to watch them is on the beach. It’s so amazing to see the colorful patterns flow across the sky! Wherever you watch them, appreciate how awesome they are! Think nothing but positive thoughts! When the cold weather comes, will you be as patient to do so? Enjoy it while you can!
How will you be saying goodbye to summer? I hope you do so in a safe and memorable way! Thanks for reading. Now check out how some of my blogging friends are saying goodbye to summer!

All five suggestions are terrific ways to say goodbye to summer.
Plus, for me, they are excellent reminders of things to do most at any time of the year. ( Especially since I do live in Florida.)

I love this LeNysha. I think the perfect staycation is camping. In luxury, of course.
