Staycation Ideas With COVID-19 Safety In Mind

Stay-at-home orders had us all stir-crazy these past few months. And with travel options still very limited, some of us are left with only our imagination to fulfill our travel dreams and adventures. I always feel sad when memories from last year’s trips appear on my Facebook timeline! So coming up with staycation ideas for myself while keeping COVID-19 safety in mind was the perfect solution to making new travel memories close to home!

I’ve mentioned staycations in the past, when I blogged about finding small pleasures. Those great moments taught me that I didn’t have to hop on a plane to some exotic place to feel like I’m traveling. Traveling is mindset! Since then, I’ve discovered some adventures nearby and exploring places that don’t require a passport. Let’s say I’ve become a tourist within my community!

Some of my getaways include visiting the beautiful botanical garden at Lasdon Park, walking along the Hudson River, and watching the sunrise from the Brooklyn Bridge to name a few! Perfect ideas for exploring and enjoying the day while avoiding crowds and keeping COVID-19 safety in mind.
